Martin de Sá Beach

With a length of 1.5 km, Martim de Sá beach has one of the best structures in the region, both on the seafront with kiosks and stalls, and in the various bars and restaurants in its surroundings. It's the nightlife spot in Caraguatatuba, where the young crowd gathers. Its sea is rough with good waves for surfing in the southern part and calmer and shallower in the northern part, close to the Guaxinduba River. It has a wide strip of soft, clear sand. The region is made up of a very urbanized neighborhood with many buildings, residences and a variety of commerce.

Prainha

Small beach with great infrastructure of kiosks and vendors on the sand. Much sought after by those with children, as the sea is calm and the waters are shallow and clear. It has several attractions, such as kayak rentals, banana boats and zip lines, among others. Through a trail on the left you can reach Pedra do Jacaré, a rock formation that resembles an alligator, a very visited tourist spot. This beach is located between the beaches of Martim de Sá and Freira or Garcês.

Tamanduá Island

Located on the border between the cities of Caraguatatuba and Ubatuba, Ilha do Tamanduá, the largest island in Caraguatatuba, is still a little-known place. An island of peaceful beaches, fine white sand and crystal clear water. Leaving Mococa or Tabatinga Beaches, it is possible to access Tamanduá Island by sea crossing, by boat, boat or schooner. Tamanduá Island has an area of ​​1,133 m², and is completely covered by natural vegetation. Five beaches make up this attraction: Praia do Fogaça, Praia da Fazenda, Praia do Meio, Praia da Laje and Praia do Sururueiro.

Cocanha Beach

In summer and on long holidays, this beach is very popular with families and people looking for a place that offers good infrastructure. Its waters are calm and clear and right in front we have two small islands called Coconha islets. It has attractions such as kayak and banana boat rentals and the proximity to the islands is very favorable to observation diving enthusiasts. There are many summer houses around it and further north it houses a mussel farm.

Mococa Beach

In an area still without housing, this beach is a good option for those seeking tranquility and being more in touch with nature. Its sea is calm and shallow, its sands are clear and vary from soft to compact. In the northern part is the mouth of the Mocóca River, a perfect place for a short swim. In front you can see the island of Tamanduá. Despite being rough, this beach has several kiosks on its shores that serve snacks and drinks.

Massaguaçu Beach

This beach is long and has very rough seas, making it recommended for surfing and fishing. Its continuity to the south is called Capricórnio beach and to the north it borders Coconha beach. Closer to Coconha beach, it has a good infrastructure and is lined with many buildings and houses, further north we have some kiosks scattered along the shore. As it is a rocky beach, great care is recommended as it has strong sea currents.

Lagoa Azul

Blue Lagoon and Capricorn Beach

This is the final part of Capricornio beach, with a paradisiacal landscape, created by the combination of the mouth of the Jetuba river, which forms a lagoon and the sea and is separated only by a small strip of white sand. This place is called Lagoa Azul and is a mandatory stop. Close to this place there is a small village of houses that offer parking space and at the lagoon some vendors provide support to visitors.

Morro Santo Antônio

At 325 meters high, the hill offers a privileged view of the entire cove of Caraguatatuba and São Sebastião, as well as a good part of Ilhabela. There is a flying platform for hang gliders and paragliders and it is one of the most popular places for hang gliders. From 12/18/2015 to 2/9/2016, access monitoring to the Morro was carried out. Based on this survey, it was observed that the city received visitors from various locations, totaling 19 states, 109 cities (The survey was carried out based on the license plates of the vehicles). Regarding the origin of visitors from other states, Minas Gerais (MG) stood out, with a total of 42 cities, totaling 156 vehicles.

MACC - Caraguatatuba Museum of Art and Culture

The MACC is a museum located in the Profª Adaly Coelho Passos Cultural Center that, in addition to preserving and conserving heritage, uses technology, scenography, storytelling and other resources to retell history, especially local history. In properly designed rooms, the museum offers different contents, composing a mosaic and information about the history of Caraguatatuba and the arts.

Serra do Mar State Park

The Serra do Mar State Park (PESM) was created by Decree No. 10,251 of August 31, 1977 and is administered by the Foundation for Conservation and Forest Production of the state of São Paulo (Fundação Florestal). It is the largest park in the State of São Paulo and also the largest fully protected conservation unit in the entire Atlantic Forest. The Caraguatatuba Nucleus (NuCar), one of the eleven that comprise it, has 35,947 ha and covers the municipalities of Caraguatatuba (28,224 ha), Paraibuna (6,410 ha) and Natividade da Serra (1,313 ha).

Mario Covas Municipal Theater

The Educational and Cultural Space “Governador Mario Covas” – Teatro Municipal de Caraguatatuba was inaugurated on December 15, 2004. A Caiçara pride, the Theater has 613 seats with space for artistic and cultural presentations of great expression, exhibitions, conventions and educational activities.

The Camaroeiro Entreposto is located there, with a new look since February/2020, it always has the best quality of all types of fish in our region. The owners of each box are the fishermen themselves and it's worth paying attention to them and taking advantage of the opportunity to take home a delicious fish.

Handicraft fair

This Crafts Fair is located in Praça Diógenes Ribeiro de Lima, in the city center and maintains a permanent crafts fair, with countless products made in the city and region. Excellent place for those who want to take some souvenirs from our city to family and friends when they return to their hometown.

Culture and Events Square

The Praça da Cultura has an area of ​​10 thousand m² and capacity for up to 40 thousand people. The space is used for large shows and events that take place during the season in Caraguatatuba. It is in the city center and has a stage with dressing rooms and infrastructure for the presentation of the most varied shows.

Prainha Lookout

Mirante da Prainha is now ready and access is free for visiting the site! There are around 500 meters of area, with landscaping! It has an advanced drainage system, parking for 173 spaces (buses, cars and motorcycles) and the Arena Theater (amphitheater), which has a stage and linear stands for 350 people, with a privileged view of a good part of the bay from Caraguatatuba. Beautiful place to take photos and record memorable moments in the city!
